Choosing a wedding venue is one of the first big decisions you make as a part of the wedding planning process. It sets the stage for all the other choices you make along the way. A space with a great vibe that fits the vision you have for your big day is so important. I am here to help you get an inside look at one of my favorite venues in Dayton, Ohio- The Steam Plant.

I wanted to share just a little sneak peek from Bryan & Kathryn’s wedding in Indianapolis at Garfield Park. Seriously, how amazing is her dress? I am obsessed- it’s so gorgeous. This was such an amazing day and I am so excited to share just a little bit of it with you guys. One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was right after the ceremony when all the guests crowded the stairs of the venue and showered the newlyweds with confetti!

I am so excited to share a few photos from a recent engagement session at Glenwood Gardens in the Cincinnati area. Mandy and Justin are so wonderful together. When we began planning their engagement session, they knew they had to include their two dogs in some of the photos. I love when people include their pets in their photos- it looks great and is such a fun thing to do.

Finding the perfect venue for your wedding can be an overwhelming task, to say the least, and it is often one of the very first steps that couples take in planning their big day. So many times I have heard from couples that their first choice venue was already booked up for the entire time of year that they had wanted to get married, so definitely try to plan your event as far in advance as you can.

All of these places are free and open to the public, so no additional fee is required to have your engagement photos taken there. They are also all pet-friendly, so you could bring along your furry friends to be a part of your engagement session at any of these locations as well.

The Marmalade Lily is easily one of my absolute favorite venues in southern Ohio. Located in Loveland, this indoor/outdoor wedding venue has a unique charm that can’t be found anywhere else. It’s actually a flower farm, so the grounds are covered in fields of gorgeous flowers that grow all season long. Being a flower farm means they also take care of all your floral needs as well.

According to The Knot, one of the biggest growing trends we are seeing as we venture into 2020 is the unplugged ceremony. If you haven’t heard of this idea yet, it’s basically when couples ask guests to put away their cell phones and devices while they say ‘I do’. Here are a few reasons why we, as photographers, love this trend so very much.
