After all, the engagement session is all about telling the story of who you are as a couple, and if you have pets- they are totally part of how your story begins. There are definitely some pros, cons, and things to prepare when including your pet dog, cat, or parrot in your engagement session, and I am here to help. 

Finding the right photographer to capture the moments on your big day is a daunting task. What do you even ask them? Where do you even begin describing how you hope to remember your wedding day? Here are 10 questions I have been asked by potential couples in the past that I think are hugely helpful in giving a little insight into who we are and the services we provide. There are no right or wrong questions to ask your photographer, really- but get to know them and what they have to offer.

When it comes to unique and impressive wedding venues in San Diego, the Central San Diego Library may just take the cake. This venue is modern and cool, with all the right amenities to make your big day a memorable one. You can even opt to tie the knot on the rooftop terrace.

This gorgeous Windansea Beach engagement session was so much fun. When the tide is high, the water crashes against the rocks at Windansea beach in La Jolla, setting the perfect backdrop for some dramatic engagement photos.

Torre and Andrew love to travel and try new foods, so 100 wines was the perfect unique wedding venue for their San Diego wedding. The food there is out of this world (as most San Diegans know, food at any Cohn Restaurant is on another level of delicious). And since the restaurant already has a cool, exotic French vibe, the couple didn't have to do much to transform the already awesome space. A few simple florals, and the restaurant was event-ready. Restaurant weddings are an excellent budget-friendly venue option, as most of the details and decorations are already included in the restaurant's motif.

ScheduleSeaport Village is a great spot for an engagement session, and like most downtown locations- my favorite time to photograph there is early in the morning. Not only is the light absolutely gorgeous, but this popular tourist destination is also pretty quiet if you get there before everything opens.

Downtown San Diego is unique, full of life, and is definitely one of the best places around for an engagement photo shoot! Cheryll & Jorel love the city just as much as I do, and they wanted to use the unique architectural landscape that makes up downtown San Diego as the background for their engagement session.
