There’s something especially fun about summer wedding inspiration that doesn’t play it safe, and this design at The Marmalade Lily felt like such a good example of how color can feel modern, playful, and still incredibly beautiful.

As a flower farm wedding venue, The Marmalade Lily already has so much built-in character. The gardens are full and layered, the greenhouse adds a really unique experience for couples, and the patio and bar make outdoor weddings and cocktail hours feel effortless. It’s one of those venues that gives you a lot to work with without needing to overdo anything.

For this setup, the reception design immediately stood out. The serpentine tables brought so much movement to the space and made everything feel a little more custom and unexpected. Paired with green linens and whimsical florals, the overall look felt fresh and with lots of personality. It had color, shape, and energy, but still felt easy in the way the best wedding designs do.

The ceremony was one of my favorite parts. Instead of going in a neutral direction, they created a flower-lined walkway with monochromatic floral arrangements in every color of the rainbow. It was bright and modern, but it never felt loud in a bad way. Somehow it still felt balanced- like the color was making a statement without overwhelming the natural beauty of The Marmalade Lily flower farm itself. It was such a smart reminder that a colorful wedding can still feel refined when it’s done with intention.

One of the most unique things about The Marmalade Lily wedding venue is the greenhouse, where couples can have brunch before they get ready. That kind of experience makes the day feel even more special. It gives couples a chance to slow down and enjoy the venue before everything begins, and it adds something really memorable to the overall story of the day. It’s such a fun detail, and not something you see at most wedding venues.

The patio and bar area are also such a strong part of what makes The Marmalade Lily so appealing for a summer wedding. They’re perfect for cocktail hour or any part of the day that’s meant to feel relaxed and social. Guests can gather outside, enjoy the gardens, and settle into the space in a way that feels really natural. For couples looking for an outdoor wedding venue with multiple beautiful spaces to move through, that flexibility is a huge part of the appeal.

And then there are the gardens, which really are the dreamiest backdrop in every image. That’s one of the things that makes a flower farm wedding at The Marmalade Lily feel so special. Everywhere you turn, there’s texture, color, and softness. It’s the perfect place to sneak away for sunset photos, especially in summer when the light starts to soften and everything feels even more romantic. Those garden portraits always end up being some of my favorites because they hold so much of what makes the venue feel special in the first place.

What I loved most about this wedding inspiration at The Marmalade Lily is that it felt creative without trying too hard. The rainbow ceremony flowers, the greenhouse brunch table, the green linens, and the winding reception setup all worked because they felt grounded in the venue itself. Nothing felt random. It all felt like a really thoughtful use of a space that already has so much charm.

If you’re planning a wedding at The Marmalade Lily and looking for a venue that feels colorful, welcoming, and full of natural beauty, this flower farm is such a beautiful place to start. And if you’re dreaming up a summer wedding with intentional design, outdoor spaces, and garden portraits at sunset, it’s hard to imagine a better setting.
