There is nothing quite like a spring wedding in Dayton, Ohio. After spending the winter pining for warm weather days, they are such a breath of fresh air! This spring wedding at the Steam Plant in downtown Dayton was such a perfect day.

Yesterday’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous. It rained all morning, but when it was time to take photos outside of the University of Dayton chapel where Magge & Joe planned to get married, the rain magically stopped. After their church wedding ceremony, we headed to Riverscape Metropark in downtown Dayton to get some photos of the bride & groom. Then the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a beautiful reception at The Steam Plant.

I am so excited to share images from one of my favorite editorials ever. It was filled so many great ideas for fun wedding photos. The mimosa bar set up in the reception area was so pretty and would be a great addition to any wedding. It would be a huge hit with all the guests! Then, set up outside was a bounce house. A gorgeous horse was brought out just in time for sunset photos and then there was a popcorn cart with custom printed popcorn bags for the late night snack.

One thing I absolutely love to do is work on creative editorials and branding sessions with my fellow Dayton and Cincinnati wedding vendors. When my friends from Blush & Bloom Weddings and Let’s Do Makeup and Hair told me what they had in mind for this editorial wedding photo shoot, I was beyond excited to be a part of it.

I am so excited to share a quick sneak peek from this past weekend’s wedding in Dayton, Ohio. This winter wedding was an absolutely dream. The blush, navy and gold details combined to make the perfect winter wedding color palette. Chad & Stella began the day with a beautiful ceremony at their church, surrounded by family and friends. Their reception was held at the Steam Plant in downtown Dayton, where they had a grand celebration. There was even a photo booth with live llamas because the bride absolutely loves them.

Yesterday’s wedding at The Estate at Sunset Farm in Dayton, Ohio was so beautiful. It was a warm, late summer day- the perfect type of a day for a wedding. Lane & Jake chose to have an outdoor ceremony at the edge of the woods. Having some shade during your summer wedding is key to keeping everyone comfortable- and for getting great photos.
