La Jolla Cove
This cliffy San Diego beach really has it all. There are cliffs, and rocks, and twisty trees. Low tide at La Jolla Cove is especially magical for taking photos. Leave your shoes in the car, be ready for a little adventure if you choose this beach as the background for your engagement shoot. The results will be epic!
Sunset Cliffs
Sunset Cliffs is another option if a cliffy beach is your thing. The lower part of the beach is a bit more difficult to access, and if the tide is too high you can count on having to stay at the top of the cliffs! Either way, this beach is a great background for some romantic engagement photos at the beach!
Scripps Beach
Scripps Beach has a little bit of everything. You can find sandy beaches, cliffs in the distance, interesting rocks to climb around, and probably the best pier in San Diego for photos. This all around great beach is sometimes crowded, and parking is a bit far-- so be prepared for a trek down to the beach! It's worth it, I promise.
These are just 3 of the best beaches in San Diego for an engagement shoot, but there are even more options! Send me a quick message—I’d love to help you find the perfect location for your engagement shoot!
