This spring engagement session is what dreams are made of. We began our time together at French Park in Cincinnati. K + J brought their dog, Geneva, along to be a part of the beginning of their engagement session. Towards the end of our time at French Park, a friend came by to pick their pup up so they could spend some time getting images of just the two of them. Having a friend ready come help with your dog during your engagement session is so helpful. I wrote a whole post about it, which you can find here. We chose an early morning session time on a weekday to take advantage of the beautiful morning light and also to minimize distractions for the dog. Choosing an early morning session, especially on a weekday, generally means you will have the location all to yourself- which is such a great experience. It totally makes up for having to wake up so early to get ready!

Our second location for their engagement session was Smale Park, which is located right on the riverfront in downtown Cincinnati. Itā€™s a gorgeous park with great views of the Roebling bridge and the Ohio river. This riverfront lark is one of the absolute best locations in Cincinnati for engagement photos. It has a huge variety in one small area. The bridge was u fee construction and access was blocked off when we were there, but usually you could also take advantage of that spot and get photos actually on the bridge as well. Enjoy this gorgeous Cincinnati engagement session! I am so excited to photograph K & J on their wedding day later this year!
