I have to be real with you. You don’t want to fall in love with a venue that isn’t the best fit for your wedding day. Finding the perfect wedding venue is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your big day. There are a few key factors to consider when looking for the best venue for your wedding. First, think about the size and layout of the space. You want to make sure that it is large enough to accommodate all of your guests and that it has the right features for whatever type of event you are planning. Second, consider the ambiance and look of the space. This is your chance to create the atmosphere you want for your wedding, so make sure the space fits your vision. Third, think about the location. You want to choose a venue that is easy for your guests to get to, whether it's in town or out of town. Finally, think about the cost. Make sure you have a budget in mind and get quotes from multiple venues to make sure you are getting a good deal. With a bit of research and careful consideration, you can find the perfect wedding venue for your special day. Here are things you should figure out before you go on any venue tours:

Approximate guest count.

It doesn’t have to be exactly accurate, but you need to know what size venue to look for to best accommodate your wedding. A lot of couples make a tiered list of who they would like to have at their wedding. Some venues may only be able to accommodate your a-list guests, while others can fit everyone you want to be there and then some. Knowing where you stand on capacity counts will have a huge impact on what venue you choose and how you utilize the space.

Desired location.

Knowing what areas to search will help you get started on the right track. A lot of time the location of your venue will greatly impact who will and will not be able to make it to your wedding. That said, your day is 100% your celebration, so choose what makes you happiest!

Budget.

This is an important one- you don’t want to fall in love with a venue that is outside your budget; and you don’t want a venue that doesn’t leave any room in the budget for anything else. It’s about balance on this one.

Your wedding vibe.

Trying to make something work at a venue that doesn’t fit the vibe is tough. Starting out with the perfect location will help all the other pieces fall into place much more easily.
