One of the best ways to personalize your engagement session, is with a special or meaningful photo shoot location. Often, the location sets the mood for the session, and can really say a lot about you as a couple. Do you love hiking together? Or is a romantic walk on the beach at sunset a little more your style? Carina and Victor opted for a little bit of both when they chose the locations for their engagement shoot- Balboa Park and Sunset Cliffs.

Carina and Victor are both biologists, so they wanted to include both the woods and the ocean environments in their photo shoot. Carina is a Park Ranger at Balboa Park, so the Redwood Circle there was an ideal location to begin our session. This low traffic area of Balboa Park is one of San Diego's best kept secrets. (For more info about everything in Balboa Park- check out my favorite map of the park!)

Any great photo session really depends on gorgeous light. So when we planned this session we kept that in mind. Knowing the woods would get dark earlier than the beach- we decided to go there first. After we took some photos in the woods, we headed to Sunset Cliffs- which is definitely one of the best beaches to catch a sunset in San Diego.  The tide was low, and we had a great time adventuring around the base of the cliffs.

Sunset Cliffs is definitely one of the best places for engagement photos on the beach! We were really able to capture some gorgeous engagement photos at both locations! Plus- having multiple locations allowed us to get a huge variety of photographs! Enjoy all the beautiful moments we were able to capture at this San Diego engagement session!

Congratulations Victor and Carina! Wishing you the happiest ever after.
