A Romantic Wedding in Balboa Park's Hidden Chapel

Last Saturday, Christy and Jose tied the knot at their romantic ceremony in Balboa Park. Their wedding was in Saint Francis Chapel, which is connected to the Museum of Man. This hidden venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the perfect place for such a vibrant and fun couple to get hitched!

We met the girls early in the afternoon to spend some time with them while they were getting ready. Everyone seemed excited and ready to celebrate Christy and José's big day!

Christy had some very important little girls in her wedding party. Jose's daughter Sophia and Christy's goddaughters were a lovely group of flower girls. They wore the most darling little outfits. Their little white headbands were so adorable!

These girls totally love Christy and had a blast in hair & makeup!

Christy carried a gorgeous bouquet of red roses down the aisle on her big day.

What a gorgeous bride! The hair & makeup team did a fabulous job on Christy and all of her girls.

Christy got these darling necklaces for her maid of honor. What a perfect bridesmaid gift! This heart elephant necklace is so precious.

The getting ready room for the girls at the Saint Francis Chapel in Balboa Park was absolutely perfect. In the moments before their ceremony, it was definitely obvious how important family was to Christy and José. There were so many people there to support them and everyone was having such a great time together.

The bridesmaids all wore matching blue floor-length gowns. Every single girl looked amazing in her bridesmaid dress. It was a very elegant dress and I'm a huge fan of the bright blue with the red lipstick!

Christy's dress was an absolutely gorgeous sleeveless gown from David's bridal. The beading and embroidered detail on this wedding dress are stunning.

Christy looked amazing. Her long veil was the perfect final touch to create such a timeless and romantic look for her big day.

José's family hired a mariachi band to play for their guests. They were very entertaining and created a wonderful atmosphere for the wedding.

Christy was escorted down the aisle by her mother. She looked absolutely perfect with every detail in place.

Christy and José sealed it with a kiss and became Mr. and Mrs. at the Saint Francis Chapel in Balboa Park.

After the ceremony we took some bridal party photos outside in Balboa Park.

After the ceremony, the party moved over to the reception venue. The Mission Beach Women's Club was the perfect place for a festive Mexican-themed wedding reception! There was plenty of space for guests to sit and hang out both inside and outside. The view of the bay outside was absolutely stunning.

Their tables were decorated beautifully. I love the red and blue color scheme they chose for their wedding and reception. The candy was a great wedding reception favor for their guests to enjoy. Their daughter Sophia was kind enough to keep feeding me pieces of candy all night in hopes that I would stop taking her picture (it totally didn't work, but I love candy! Thank you Sophia!).

These mariachi cake toppers were so adorable! All of the food for the wedding was prepared byJosé's family. Not only did it look perfect, everything was absolutely delicious.

The bar had tons of drinks and of course- lots of tequila! The wedding couple celebrated together with a toast and a shot of tequila.

Here's to Christy and José- wishing the two of you a happy forever together! It was an honor to capture so many beautiful moments. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, send me a quick message!
