Choosing a wedding venue is one of the first big decisions you make as a part of the wedding planning process. It sets the stage for all the other choices you make along the way. Finding a space with a great vibe that fits the vision you have for your big day is so important. I am here to help you get an inside look at one of my favorite venues in Dayton, Ohio- The Steam Plant.

If you are looking for a more unique space, definitely check out The Steam Plant in downtown Dayton. It’s an all-in-one venue that just opened its doors in 2018. Since it is new, everything is fresh and it looks so great. Using their space is so wonderful, they truly have a lot of great things to offer the couples that choose to get married there. The getting ready spaces are on completely different floors, so if a couple chooses not to see each other before the ceremony, it’s truly ideal.

Another thing that sets this venue apart is the unique design. While designing this space, they preserved a lot of the history and original details of the building. There is a balcony that can be accessed from the VIP suite. It overlooks the giant reception space and provides an amazing view of everything that is going on in the main area. This is also great for if you decide you want a photograph of everyone at your wedding. The photographer can access that balcony and get a wonderful photograph of everyone down on the dance floor below.

I wanted this article to give you a really good idea of all that is wonderful about The Steam Plant. Scroll through the images below to see some photos from weddings there from this past year. I included photographs of the getting ready area, the main reception space and also areas surrounding and outside the building. As a photographer, one of the things I love most about the Steam Plant is the huge variety of amazing locations for photos there. Not only that, but it’s a versatile space that can make any dream wedding a reality. It’s definitely a favorite of mine!
