Canopy Creek Farm

Barn venues are a southern Ohio favorite. They range in style, so they are great for creating so many different looks. A historic barn inherently has some character of its own- so lots of couples opt to showcase their venue and end up saving money on decor and go with minimal decor or decor that enhances the vibe of their chosen space. Here are a few Dayton area barn wedding venues to check out while you search for your perfect wedding location!

The Round Barn at Orrmont Farm

Max capacity is 300, for over 200 guests an additional fee is required.

Market lights hang from the ceiling of the barn. It looks amazing in photographs. Venue provides top-notch service. They will set up your chairs. I photographed a wedding there on a particularly cold November day and the venue owner drove us around to different photo spots so that we could take photos all around the property and warm up in between shots. It really made the difference for the photographs that the bride & groom got back AND their wedding day experience.

The Honey Farm

Max capacity is 200.

The barn at The Honey Farm is 200 years old and it is not heated or air-conditioned. They do use portable fans and heaters to ensure a comfortable experience. This venue is very generous with the couples that choose to get married there and only books Saturday weddings so that you have time to set up on Friday and clean up on Sunday.

Polen Farm

Max capacity for the barn is 175.

The reception space at Polen Farm is a 19th-century barn. You are allowed the use of a historic farmhouse for getting ready, and there is a garden gazebo to host your ceremony. The vibe at this venue is light and bright with lots of antique pieces inside the farmhouse. The barn is generally used as a reception space and it is easily customized to create any look.

Canopy Creek Farm

Max capacity is 250.

One of the things that sets Canopy Creek Farm apart from other barns in the area is the fact that you can take your wedding photos with their horses. This venue provides an on-site wedding coordinator, offering a planning meeting prior to your event, at the rehearsal and on the day of your wedding. Having worked with this venue in the past, I found the coordinator to be very helpful. We were also driven around on their golf cart to make sure you get full use of all the great areas around the property. Service here is definitely top-notch. Also, the ceremony is held in an area near a stream with lots of trees. It’s so romantic! The inside of the barn has heat and air conditioning- which is definitely a huge plus.

The Buckeye Barn

Max capacity is 275, but they only provide chairs and tables for up to 250 and a fee is required for more than 250.

The barn doesn’t have heat or air conditioning, but fans/heaters are available to rent on-site and the barn gets great airflow since it is open on the sides. The bridal sweet is located in a quaint little house with great interior design. The other getting ready quite is called ‘The Dude Cave’ and it has a huge TV, bar and a foosball table. They offer a variety of in-house services, like vintage rentals, photo booth, DJ and event coordination. You can even choose an add-on to have your logo projected onto the side of the barn. It looks really great.

Canyon Run Ranch

Max capacity is 150.

Canyon Run Ranch has an incredible vibe. The getting ready area is in the stone home on the property. It has a really classy look with well-maintained gardens. Ceremonies here are held in the woods near a scenic ridge. This is one of the most beautiful ceremony sites I have seen. I love the natural vibe. This venue is also eco-friendly and uses just solar power! So cool.
